Félicien Victor Joseph Rops (Namur, 1833-1898) was a Belgian artist associated with symbolism and the Parisian fin de siècle. He was a painter, illustrator, caricaturist and a prolific and innovative print maker. He provided illustrations for Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Voltaire and many others. In my career, Félicien Rops has always been a teacher of satire, caricatures and figure drawing.
